Biola University

At Biola, I studied Business Marketing and was able to do many hands-on marketing projects. These included working with actual businesses and having real clients to report back to. During my senior year, I was able to create in-depth research marketing reports for both Half Off Books and Barks of Love dog rescue. In my Junior year, my first semester was spent abroad in London,  learning how Marketing is practiced internationally. That semester allowed me to gain a widened perspective on the global business environment.  My time at Biola was filled with both knowledge-based and practical hands-on experiences. I graduated Summa Cum Laude.

Target Market Project

My sophomore year at Biola University was the first time I was able to learn on the ground market research. I did a comparison report of Auntie Anne’s and Wetzel’s Pretzels. My observations began with online research and additional insight was gained through both customer and employee interviews. The report was a culmination of perceived insights and strategic analysis.

Marketing Research Project

During my senior year at Biola University, I was able to gain a hands-on experience in research marketing.  The project involved the challenge and fulfillment of finding my own client, discovering secondary data, conducting customer interviews, creating a survey, and then producing a research report based on the findings. I produced the following report for Half Off Books in Whittier, CA (now located in Fullerton, CA).

Non-Profit Marketing Project

During my last semester at Biola I volunteered at the foster based dog rescue Barks of Love. This was an amazing opportunity for me to connect my love of dogs while helping a non-profit organization. During this project, I volunteered as well as interviewed potential stakeholders. I then created a full marketing report for them filled with potential ideas on how to improve their marketing strategies.
