Love in the Time of Serial Killers by Alicia Thompson

Book 6/50

Rating: ★★★★☆

This was a book where I liked the side characters more than the main one. It kinda felt that she had little personality beyond being obsessed with “true crime” and her neighbor. Instead, the story could have focused on her rebuilding the relationship with her brother and his girlfriend rather than forcing a love interest into the picture. I would have much preferred it to end with her dissertation defense and have the last sentence being her mentor calling her “Doctor”, that would have closed the book properly. Overall, it was still a fun book though.
