This was just a heartwarming story. It is reminiscent of "A Man Called Ove" with its witty characters and laugh-out-loud moments. I loved how the chapters switched between perspectives and even included one for the octopus Marcellus. His chapters were my favorite hands down. There were a few strings left unraveled but I am left anticipating the next novel from this debut author.
